Explore GRAVITY's new sticky notes prototype - your private workspace insights, always at hand. Share thoughts, guide our innovation!
In our ongoing effort to develop intuitive, user-focused solutions that promote digital adoption and productivity, we have begun testing an innovative new concept internally: a browser extension that enables users to add personalized, persistent Post-it-style notes to any website or business application. This local-only feature keeps your notes on your device, providing a powerful tool for managing contextual information.
Imagine working in a complex business application. Instead of switching between the app and your personal notes, you can pin your annotations, reminders, and key insights directly within the app. These sticky notes would be visible only to you and stored locally on your device, so there would be no cloud syncing or external data sharing.
We created this feature to give users more flexibility to personalize their workspace and streamline workflows by providing an intuitive way to attach notes wherever they are most relevant.
GRAVITY already provides in-app guidance, step-by-step walkthroughs, and other contextual support for business applications to empower teams and streamline digital adoption. However, GRAVITY’s current solutions are primarily focused on organizational-level guidance and training. Examples include creating callouts, onboarding flows, and automating knowledge delivery for enterprise users.
On the other hand, the “Post-it Note concept” is personalized and entirely local. Rather than being used for organizational purposes (e.g., rolling out Announcements or ensuring company-wide adoption of new features), this feature aims to help individual users capture and reference their own insights during their daily tasks. Think of it as a personal productivity layer on top of your business apps.
Here’s what makes this feature unique:
We’ve currently rolled out this prototype for internal evaluation, focusing on how it complements our existing GRAVITY capabilities. The feedback so far has been promising; testers have highlighted how it makes their day-to-day tasks more seamless and how easy it is to reference important notes “in the moment” without disrupting their workflow.
While GRAVITY already excels in providing digital adoption solutions at the organizational level, this Post-it note feature could introduce a whole new dimension by bringing individual autonomy and personalization into the mix. It’s also a natural extension to our mission of empowering users to achieve more in less time, through fewer manual interventions and greater contextual guidance.
That being said, incorporating this feature into GRAVITY would broaden its scope beyond team-wide adoption and training to encompass individual-level work environment customization. This shift could provide businesses using GRAVITY with a complementary yet distinct benefit.
This brings us to the big question: Should we make this feature available to all GRAVITY users?
